Can I take communication off the site?
No, is the simple answer to this. It’s against the terms and conditions to take any communication off the platform. These rules are put in place to protect both our buyers and freelancers. This is so that if there is a dispute we can intervene effectively by reviewing your communication in the project workstream. If you take communication off the platform, we won’t be able to support you in your dispute, and you won’t be protected.
Discussing requirements and making an agreement to start a Project should all be made directly on the WorkStream. Don't forget you can easily exchange files in the WorkStream, or if you are a Freelancer and want to share samples of your work, you can point the Buyer to your portfolio in your PeoplePerHour profile.
