How do you know if your project got accepted by client?

Hi. I'm new here and I got a client who respond to me but I'm not sure if he already accepted me as his designer for social media postings. 

You should be notified and he need to deposit if needed right? 

I don't know if I should start with the project since I'm not sure if the project is already awarded to me.

  No deposit in the escrow/workstream then it has not been accepted
