"Proposal still pending" notifications

Why do I get "proposal still pending" notifications? I have accepted a proposal and all others have been declined (automatically). When I click on any of these notifications saying "proposal still pending" it shows that it has been declined. So why it is still pending? Why am I still notified about them two days later?
