Same issues here. The PPH website is full of such poor functionality and restrictions, and terrible customer service, compared to any other freelancer website I’ve used. I won't be using this website any more. I've used many other such websites, but this is by far the worst of the lot.

The big issue I have is that PeoplePerHour won't let me communicate with the seller to explain the work that needs to be done due to the communications being "moderated" (i.e. blocked) and also won't let me have a refund despite a few messages I've sent via the support ticket system (#574262). This means my money has been taken from me.
Can PPH please refund the money to my debit card. I've requested this several times in a polite way.
Other farcical problems with PPH include one purchase I made going through three times, so I paid the seller three times (because I am an ethical person - PPH and their ilk wouldn't have paid the person).
Like I said, I have never once had issues of this nature in over 15 years of using other freelancer websites.

Dear Customer support,
For the very first time I try your services and sent out a job request last week to three selected logo designers.
Now I find below one request the following message: "Yur Moderation Ninjas detected content in your WorkStream, which was in violation of our Terms & Conditions. For that reason, your message never reached Anum K."
At the same time, the very same message reachen one of the other two selected recipients (Carl R.).
The third request (Fox D.) has dissapeared completely.
All of the above, I found out in hindsight and by actively searching on your website. Never received any notification that there was a problem! Instead, I received about ten mails which informed my about the one successful reply and about all kind of other stuff!
Up to this point, I am very dissatisfied with this experience, and very much hope you will rectify the obvious mistakes immediately.
Therefore, please get my job request to the two other receipients asap, as I urgently need their quotes!

First time using the website and received the below message after finding a brilliant freelancer for my project placed the order....

I have raised this with support and sent further mails on this. I am really not happy as my project is on a tight deadline and this is eating into the timeframe for both me and the freelancer - please sort this out now!!!!

I have received a similar message from the website. It took my money but didn't allow me to email the freelancer to explain what I need.
Message below:

Since it is the first-ever transaction I did on the website I simply want to get my money back and cancel everything as it is impossible to contact the service required.Thanks
