How do I go about reporting a scam?

    I got scammed too.

    Member profile name Mark A.

    Alleged Company: Geneva Woods

    Interviewer: Emilia Zamora

Interview location: Google Hangouts messages (not video)

    Job Offer: Virtual support/Administrative

We had an interview that took couple of days. Emilia asked a bunch of questions, checking my knowledge and experience in HR. After that she informed me that I was offered a position in their company.  I had to scan and sing their contract and provide my personal info. Only after that she asked for deposit of $200. I said no.

Yesterday I received another invitation from Mark, whom I have reported a month ago, when all of this first happened. Again, they were asking to interview me and again with Emilia. This time, they flat out asked for deposit right away.

I lost so many hours with them that I want to scream.

    @milena

I just got a message that I was shortlisted for the same company, Geneva Woods and that my interviewer's name is Emilia Zamora. When I read their job briefing, I thought the job was too good to be true - a Monday-Friday job only 6 hours a day, and pays $19/hour. They would even provide a new Mac Book Pro laptop and other devices such as printers, etc.

I reported them to Geneva Woods but I see they did nothing to stop them. This is why I left freelancing. There is Just too much scams.
Also, they took their time with interview and after that asked for money. I'm sorrx this happened to you, I thought PeoplePerHour closed their account. I guess I was wrong.

I haven't been interviewed, but I already sent an email to Emilia. Good thing I searched "Emilia Zamora Geneva Woods", and this discussion showed up on Google.

They designed and created a website for me, which looked really good until they put Chinese baseball SEO backlinks and German NFL SEO backlinks all over my site. I first noticed it last month - which they quickly deleted and restored to normal and now it has happened again. It has there name written all over it. I want a refund for putting my company and customer data as HIGH risk

I was invited by a potential client named Amelia Sutcliffe who posted a job for her Data Enrty work.
I had a scheduled chat with her via Skype but she doesn't seem a native English speaker nor British which from her profile, she's from United Kingdom.
She offered me a good paying and great amount for hundreds of PDF she said she needs help with. But when we finished discussing the task, she then informed me that she has one policy when hiring people-- WE as applicant needs to deposit first $35 for security purposes. I declined and sent her goodbye.

I just felt bad that this first potential client I thought could help me in my trying times was actually a fraud who lifts my hopes so high. I believe the name Amelia she's using is not legit. I just hope she/he will stop doing this kind of thing.

I've added some photos and add the link as well for you to trace it. Thank you!

I'm glad you didn't get scammed, but I'm sorry that PPH people are not doing anything to stop them, Emilia Zamora on the first place.

Look, Geneva Woods is a real company from Alaska. They really do hire people, but not remotely. I wrote to them too, but sadly they did nothing as well.

Another of these ... Ethos Veterinary Health, asking for money for a "tracker". I was so happy thinking it was legitimate.

Report it from the workstream he contacted you from.  I guess he's been deleted by now.  These scams get sent out to hundreds of people on here who report it from the workstream.  I've reported 62 of them this month alone.

FYI - you don't 'take a project.'  You apply along with other candidates and the buyer awards it.  If you are fortunate enough to be awarded a legitimate project, he will accept your proposal and place deposit money into PPH Escrow system.

Wise up - read the terms and conditions

Sign that the client is scammer, after you send a proposal to their job posting and sent you a message/reply. When they are invited you to talk on Telegram that is a redflag, and also requesting you a payment or refundable fee after you finish the project.
