Has anyone worked out the leaderboard?
I've submitted a help desk ticket but 5 days later nothing heard so time to try here.
the other day logging in I was greeted with a message that I was third on the leaderboard for a particular category.
it showed I had 3000 points and earned £200.
Since then, I've billed a further £600 (for the same hourlie, to different buyers, my points remain the same, so does earnings. Still shows as £200.
Hilariously, because a buyer cannot access their account, i.e. Nothing to do with my inability to deliver the work, I processed a refund, with a full explanation.
My points now show as 500, i.e. 2500 have been deducted.
Whatever formulae is being used, it looks like it isn't working. Also, if the same accuracy is used to calculate rankings and certs how do we know when we're being incorrectly penalised for something and appeal?

Kelly,
please take the time to read what the post says.
in order for a discussion to have been taking place it would require at least one message or contribution from two or more participants.
i haven't yet received a response, so I don't believe a discussion has taken place yet.
there are multiple related questions to choose from in the message above.
regards

One thing I found out when I queried the leaderboard is that you only gain points for a job if it both pays AND you receive feedback.
This means that I lose about 1k a month from consideration by the leaderboard, because I have an ongoing job that I submit for each week (and have done for five years) and the client is well beyond the point of leaving me feedback for it, and I don't like to keep asking.
So yeah basically if any of your Hourlie clients paid but didn't leave feedback, those earnings aren't counted.

Hi Polly,
Yes you are right. In order to score points the work must be completed, paid for, and feedback recieved.
The other issue is that your profile has a category. It means you can only compete in the leaderboard for that category. Where it gets complicated is how each job is then categorised. For example, I just billed and got paid and received feedback for an invoice of £1500. A pop up showed that I had scored something like 30,000 points. However, not in the category of my profile.
Now what's great, is that I work predominantly in Facebook Marketing. Now is that social media, or is that marketing? Regardless of which I choose, my work is going to get split between the two because there isn't enough consistency.

its a joke really. I was 5th in my category after one BIG job last year but then despite carrying out numerous other jobs as well as a few refunds as i was not unavailable to complete due to workloads the ranking has dropped like a stone. Its funny cos they create this 'leaderboard' but it means absolutely nothing and has 0 benefits to us the sellers.
Let's be honest here -The buyers get ALL the favour. We as sellers are underrated and undervalued particularly when you realize its us that's doing the legwork and paying all the PPH staff wages lol. Its a disgrace really it is. We should be receiving more incentive and rewards especially when we've managed to take home jobs worth £3k+ job which i am fortunate enough to have won for a single job. So only lost £600 on that one ;)
Put simply we should get more back like free credits and extra discounts on new jobs if we are making them a certain amount at level 5 and above. The algorithm isnt working PPH! Or maybe it is - sounds a lot like facebooks' lol
