Commission on payments
I realise that sellers sign up on PPH knowing the percentage commission that will be deducted, so we in effect agree to it, but it is actually a crippling amount that's taken.
I've just completed 5 pieces of work for one job, for a total of £250, and PPH has taken a massive £45 of that. This means that I've effectively written one piece of work for virtually nothing. Even the tax people don't take that much.
A fifth is a huge amount to take and is compelling me to work less on here and to do more private work. I'd rather work from here, but the commission is prohibitive. I don't usually take non-GBP jobs any more either as, by the time PPH and currency exchange have taken their slices, there's not much left.
I'm sure I'm not the only seller who thinks this way. I know a lot of sellers who do one job for a client here and then take future jobs with them away from PPH because of this issue.
I know you're running a business, but so are we all. We all need to survive. Wouldn't it be possible to reduce the percentage and encourage more sellers to work from PPH? I know the percentage drops if a seller gets more than a certain amount of money in a month - could you perhaps reduce this amount so the lower percentage kicks in earlier?
It would benefit us all in the long run.
