Payment verification for limited company
I have setup a bank account as a payment method and supplied a copy of my banks statement.
Today I have received a message stating that verification failed as the profile name does not match the bank account name.
Many freelancers trade under a limited company for reasons of tax efficiency, the clients that have been billed so far have correctly been invoiced under my company name. Legally I cannot take company money and pay it into a personal bank account. The bank account name correctly matches the company name when I setup the payment method.
I have already opened a ticket but as I now have real concerns about the security of funds held by People Per Hour and will have to reject/cancel any current proposals until this matter is resolved. To protect my reputation it will be necessary to inform clients that the reason for cancelling work in progress is due to late payment by People Per Hour.
