Confused about the payment procedure, please help!

I requested a deposit and the customer has accepted it but how do I get the payment of the deposit after the work is completed plus the rest of the full payment? I'm too confused.. I've completed but is there something I need to do or should I request and wait for the customer to respond for it again? Please help!
