Hi im new to pph, I recently started talking to a seller who wanted a 3d animated logo. He seemed keen but rejected my first quote so I reduced it by almost half which was crazy but I thought I need to get some feedback so agreed anyway. At this point I asked for a deposit to protect myself, he then asked if I could mock something up first as im a new user etc.This started alarm bells ringing but I went ahead and spent a good few hours making a start. This started alarm bells ringing but I went ahead and spent a good few hours mocking it up. I then sent this to him, which was a watermarked image showing I could match his reference image and video. Since then he refuses to answer my questions and will not reply. I have rasied this with support with no response so far (4 days and counting) I feel like ive been totally ripped off, I litterally think he wanted to test an idea he had and wanted to use pph to exploit someone into doing it for free. What can I do in this situation if he wont respond and pph dont get back to me in regards to this situation. If nothing the seller should get some kind of warning and be monitored for the way hes conducting himself on here..

  There are always loopholes exploited by similar people and even when job starts and money is in escrow, ex someone will pretend he doesn't like a version of sth he has the right for at least two revisions, and may take two versions for the price of one -just an example that may happen-

  Just be careful, put portfolio samples , never send free stuff, post Houlies too may help, monetize any task you are able to do, and fragment it to the most boring details :)

  *Always ensure money is in escrow before any work is started and keep ALL conversations within the workstream*

  I have also opened a ticket with the customer support in case you want to take this issue further.

  Very simple :

  - Never send free samples, if you are asked flag the job post.

  - Never start work before you are hired

  Yes I fully appreciate that and understand I was a little naive. The fact is this user is breaking the sites rules and knows it, I wonder how many other people he has done this too. Will the user get a warning?

  Yes I can see how this could happen, crazy as most of the work on this site is massively under priced anyway. So do people per hour do anything about this kind of exploitation? or is this why its a common thing on here?

  Depends on the Seller, and it's his responsibility, I mean when buyer posts sth and puts $100 as budget, don't be surprised to see someone quoting $50...it's kinda jungle, but better than other platforms
