Dropbox/Github style work area with revision history

What would make projects easier with PPH is to have a space to collaborate with files and file revisions.  The workstream quickly becomes a mess of passing files back and forth which could be simplified by having a file / folder container which revision controls your work for you with comments.

 

Example, 

schematic-batterycharger.pdf was made.  I ask for an addition to the design and could even use a @schematic-batterycharger.pdf link to the file while talking to the seller in the workstream.  The file was modified and re-uploaded on the place of the original file with a comment of what has changed. Everything is tidy.  If I want to see the previous versions then I can see and access them under the file showing also the comments of the release.

Something like Github for PPH... Currently I have to do endless amounts of scrolling and checking to see what was the last file sent, confirmation that we are talking about the same thing, passing zip files back and forth.. not easy.

 

Other than that.. Great site!

  Hi Ben,

  You already have sth close to that, I myself didn't pay attention to it but it's very useful:

  in the same Workstream right side of the page just under the workstream summary you will find "Workstream feed" tab and on the right "attachments" tab click and you will see all attachments and versions by date (to be viewed as list or grid) you can also filter images and documents.

  I have a workstream of two years that contains trillions of versions a real tsunami of files...atleast you won't have to click load "load previous messages"
