Thanks for the comment bro,  so why surprised ?

Porting jobs outside PPH is against the terms and will result in account termination, and yes people are able to do it, to do more and it's happening, nothing new in here.

I mean people are able to find your web presence in any possible format, a privacy question nothing more, and because so many are desperate for a job they could do anything to grab their first.

    Hope this make sense now.

PS : its not a "Serious data protection issue" your information is safe with PPH, so you better check your web presence and personal info visibility, oh and don't get surprised when see this comment labeled as official answer.

PPS : I'm not PPH, I'm just a user (seller) to contact support open a ticket from here :

    Thank you for your email.

I must admit to being a little surprised at your reply.

It means that people are able to circumvent your service a try dealing out side of PPH. Therefore depriving PPH of commissions.

If I was your MD. I think I would want to investigate further. But if you're telling me these people are able to local my home and the mobile number outside of PPH. And that OK.

Then I am sure your directors are fine with it.   However, I am not. So you will forgive me if I pass this over to the ICO for their view.  Regards Gary Taylor

Mohammed has it spot on with his answer, PPH make sure all your documents are safe and secure, however what is unclear from your original post is perhaps the job listing you posted contained a web address? Or LinkedIn profile maybe? This would give anyone on the platform a way of finding 'you'. this has happened to other people before as they don't realise what content they are sharing when posting a job advert.

I have listed Mohammed's answer as 'official comment' as it closely matches what the support officers have said in the past.

If there is anything else I can help you with let me know.

    Regards, Kelly

The ICO? You seem like the sort of person that would call the police if someone knocked your snowman down.

I agree with you Gary, if spam arrives to landline and mobile phone calls then it's serious, but these days anyone with your full name can search your web presence, ask spammer who called you, where did he get your details.

Yeah, Nowadays you just need a name to find out about people - Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc

    Hello Gary,

I am just a freelancer in PPH however what I do note is some profiles seem to for example where they work or atleast the company name, also some jobs will post URLs they may own which can then be traced via a domain whois, and as others state if you know someones city and name, plus work place it is very easy to get someones contacts. I would maybe suggest on future jobs you specificly say do not contact me outside of PPH as above it is against the terms anyway. Also as other have said above, you can use the same tactics on yourself to see where on the internet your showing your details, you can then remove these or add domain whois protection etc to start to remove your details off google and other search engines. All the best, Thanks. Ryan
