Turn off contest invitations

Today I was invited to enter NINE contests. I am not in the least bit interested in doing work for free. I understand it's good for people trying to get on the ladder, but I find it very annoying.

I'd like the option to choose whether or not someone can invite me to a job with no budget. There may be times when I'm interested, but I can search for them if I want to apply.

A simple on/off button in my preferences would be great "Yes, I'm happy to receive honest invites/ No, please tell the 'buyer' I am not interested/available"

  Please give us this option to turn it off - nothing came of this ticket - so I set my email to auto-bin the emails. But you've changed them again, so I've had to restate the mail rule to bin them again.
  
  But the invites still appear on the dashboard notifications, and they are not equal to other more important notifications.
