Guaranteed Contests
Hi PPH,
After submitting designs for a couple of web design contests that were not awarded to any designer, I think it's right to suggest Guaranteed/Pre Funded Contests.
A Guaranteed/Pre Funded Contest forces the owner of the project to commit some funding so designers do not end up doing painstaking designs for nothing.
A Guaranteed/Pre Funded Contest also gives the designers confidence that their designs are not going to be wasted/ignored and there is a token of appreciation for putting in the effort.
Eventually Guaranteed/Pre Funded Contests would attract the top designers as the top designers would rather go for Guaranteed Contests vs Normal Contests.
PPH should also encourage owners/clients to go with Guaranteed/Pre Funded Contests in other to attract better quality designs
If the owner of the project decides not to award any designer funds can be split equally among-st designers or split among the top rated.
I think this would go a long way in discouraging contest owners from just allowing contests to expire without awarding them to a winner.

Hi and thank you for your messages,
I will pass on your feedback to our product team, whilst you are awaiting feedback please check out our T&Cs regarding contests:
Contests
- Contests are offered on PPH at a fixed price per “Winning Entry”. Whether or not a “Winning Entry” is accepted is entirely at the discretion of the Buyer. Contests are often a smaller part of a larger project. Whether or not a winning Seller is offered the full project is entirely at the discretion of the Buyer. Whether or not a winning Seller accepts the full project is entirely at the discretion of the Seller. PPH has no control over this process. Entries are provided by Sellers directly to Buyers, who determine the deliverables and all other requirements. On Commencement of a Contest the Buyer pays funds into the Escrow Account, and the Buyer must confirm their requirements upfront in the Contest description.
- Sellers must provide their entry within the duration of the Contest as defined in the Contest description. Seller’s entries are public but anonymous, and can be rated by Buyers/Sellers/Guests alike. Sellers' CERT score will increase even if their entry is unsuccessful if their entry is highly rated.
- Buyers agree to pay for the “Winning Entry”.
- Once the “Winning Entry” has been awarded the Seller will receive payment, (“Contest Prize”), from the release of funds (“Contest Fee”) held in the Escrow Account minus (“Contest Commission”).
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

@Daniel - exactly what i'm trying to say. I noticed quite a number of contests posted in December have all gone to expired with none of them being awarded.
This is heavily discouraging for any designer. I'm presently skeptical about submitting any designs and also make sure i delete my designs when a contest just expires.
What stops a contest holder from stealing designs when a contest expires as all the designs remain on that expired contest.
