Movies in portfolio

I’m trying to upload Adobe After Effect exports (mp4), to my portfolio, and although it uploads ok, it doesn’t display a thumbnail or play in my portfolio. Am I doing anything wrong? It’s not much use displaying as a generic icon that doesn’t play the animation in my portfolio.
