Irrelevant proposals
I set up a seller account yesterday.
Since then I have had a lot of 'invite to propose' emails, but literally NONE of them relate to my skillset.
I am a Software Tester, I have had:
- Audio Service
- Typescript Developer (Typescript does not feature within my testing skill list, in case you wondered)
- Graphics Designer
Considering the area and skillsets I have selected, I cannot begin to imagine how bad PPH's allocation system must be to send this 'spam' to me
On searching tech/bug reports I note there are posts about this from some 6 years ago, so why has it not been addressed?
This would explain why, when I was a buyer rather than seller, I also got flooded with junk proposals.
This is core to your whole business and needs sorting out.

Hi Matt,
These invitation emails came from Buyers that found your Profile via our Freelancer Search page. You can opt-out of them from the following settings page: https://www.peopleperhour.com/settings/notifications
The setting you need to uncheck is "Project invitations from PeoplePerHour buyers".

Hi Matt,
We checked the profiles of all the Buyers that invited you to make a Proposal and found all 4 of them to be fraudulent. We deactivated them. I'm really sorry about this.
We are at war with spammers, playing a cat and mouse game where we find a way to automatically block them, then they find a way to get around our counter-measures. I think your bad experience indicates there is a new wave of spammers getting onto the site. We'll investigate further.
