How can i know the project is a scam?

I'm a noob here. I sent a proposal for a writing project and ten minutes later I got a reply from the buyer saying that I needed to ask the supervisor about the job via telegram. Isn't it a scam project? So how can I know whether the project is a scam or not? Are there any significant criteria to pick the right buyer?

  Yes, use of telegram is a scam, as is anyone asking you to work outside of this platform, or failing to provide Escrow deposit. 

  Watch out for repeated jobs.  Copy and pasted projects which don't get awarded.
