Image upload bugged?

I can't upload my profile picture and it keeps throwing errors.. I've seen this site has been having this problem for years now..

  Hi there,

  The reason why your profile picture may not have been uploaded immediately is because it's waiting to be approved by the moderation team. This doesn't mean that it wasn't unsuccessful, it just means that it's still to be reviewed ☺️

  Please allow 24 hours for this change to be applied and ensure that the profile picture you're changing to is a picture of yourself and not a logo or cartoon. If you are registered under a company however, a company logo is acceptable.

  no the moderation team isn't approving anything because the image doesn't even upload. it keeps throwing this error and i also tried with other image formats and different sizes. i've been trying to do this for almost a week now and it's always the same
