Necessary corrections to a published article

Freelancer completed the project and submitted invoice, however, there is one correction that needs to be made in the project. Is it necessary for me (the buyer) to REJECT the invoice in order for the freelancer to read the message that I sent to him describing the needed correction? In other words, do I have to REJECT the freelancer's invoice in order to communicate the necessary correction with the freelancer AFTER the freelancer has sent the invoice?

  Yes cancel the invoice and ask for the revision (providing it states he offers revisions).
