Help, how do I charge an hourly rate?

Hi! I´m a frelancer, and new here, I´ve only submmited proposals for a fixed rate, and I´m confused as how to charge per hourly rate.
Where should I put the total amount of hours (and total amount in $) if the proposal is /hr? I don´t want to fill the proposal in a wrong way...

  Hi there, thanks for your message. 

  The number of hours can be discussed with the Buyer. You can add the hourly rate and then the deposit for the project will be an estimation of the hours the project requires.

  Hi! thanks for your answer. So, If I undestood correctly, I send the puyer the number of hours in the proposal, fil in my hourly rate, and the deposit, I should calculate 50% of the total amount of the job?
