How to deal with a slow seller
AnsweredThree weeks ago I awarded a job, which had a deadline of ONE week. After the initial deadline had passed I was quite lenient in allowing an extra week for the project to be completed as I was fairly happy with the progress. However, my seller seems to be continuously taking advantage of the extra time that has been given and is taking longer and longer to complete basic functionalities.
He is taking far too long with my project and seems to work on it as and when it suits him and on top of this he is now constantly requesting that I release half of the funds to him to help keep him motivated to work and complete more of my project!
The problem I am dealing with is knowing what to do in this situation, I feel like I have completely no control as I can't afford to waste another 3 weeks commissioning someone else to do the job (if I were to complain/ raise a dispute).
How do you get a seller who is unwilling to work faster and who clearly has no regard for your deadline to deliver on what is expected of him?
:/
(This Sunday will be four weeks since he started on my project)

Hi Rae-Anne
I'm very sorry to hear that. We have a CERT system in place which basically means that if they miss a deadline, their CERT score will decrease and it will continue to do so until they deliver. This will then effect their chances of gaining work in the future.
If you are extremely unhappy and you would not like to carry on with the seller then please request a refund in your WorkStream with this seller. I have attached a screencap of where you can find the 'Request Refund' button and if I can help you further, please let me know.

give him an ultimate deadline.
tell him that if he won't finish the site in xxx days (set a reasonable timeframe) you will request a refund and search for someone else.
I am pretty sure that the deadline failing, in addition of the obviusly (yet) undelivered work, will be an easy win for your dispute. and he surely knows it. also, a refund request will affect his ranking, so if you convince him that you're going to ask for a refund, he will understand the risks and crack on working. ;)

Hi
I paid for a job over a week ago to which I was promised the article would be completed the next day. I have sent the seller a few emails through out the week to which I got no reply and yesterday I requested a refund to which I got no reply also. I am really frustrated because this is the second person that has done this to me on this website in the past two weeks. I had a deadline for this article. It is so unprofessional on their behalf. Whats even more baffling is that they have 4 and 5 certs on their profile. Can someone from customer care please contact me because I think I could be waiting a while to hear back from the Seller..
