When do I release funds?

I am working with a contractor who instructed me to release the funds and then he would send the final files. is this the proper procedure?  What happens if the final files are not in the format I requested?    Please advise

  Hi Lisa,

  The contractor submits his final work and if you are happy with it, then you release their funds. Do not release funds before they have submitted their work. We do it this way for many reasons, such as you may not be happy with the work and require many revisions and amendments, or it may not be in the correct formats, like you mentioned.
