Giving feedback to a seller if they didn't deliver and project was refunded?

    Hi Andrew

    I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing problems.  When you are refunded, a seller receives an automatic negative feedback rating of 1 star, so this reflects badly on their rating and lowers their CERT level.

    Yeah, that's really poor. As these particular sellers made false promises, messed me about, had terrible communication and wasted my time.   Just getting automatic negative feedback of 1 star is not apparent on users profiles when screening a candidate for a job.  I think not delivering a job can be worse than delivering a bad job. So it is a discredit to the site, that relevant feedback cannot be given.

    I  agree with Andrew. I have recently had a seller that was extremely difficult to work with. Waste my time and my energy, plus I was insulted. I want to be able to leave a review.

    I agree, I have had three people that are terrible. I know more about the job than they do? I am sick of being ignored and just being left while the clients whos website it is, is getting more and more impatient! Why can I not give them feedback I have had almost a month of my time wasted.

    I've had a really bad one today. Decided 1 hour before deadline to email saying they had no internet to send me files, and so i missed a deadline. Truly appalled that PPHers are allowed to get away with this - I believe I should be allowed to review honestly

    It seems to be a critical issue with this site. An issue which completely undermines the feedback system and as such gives a crippling blow to People Per Hour itself. I hope they are reading this!  I for one would never use this site ever again for any projects as I just can't realistically see peoples feedback and it seems I am not alone in choosing people who appear to be good to do a job, who turn out they're not, and then frustrated when I can't leave appropriate feedback to warn others.  I will use another freelancing sites in future.

    +1 for the ability to leave feedback for undelivered and refunded work. An automatic negative feedback rating of 1 star does nothing to protect buyers. Due to the poor experience that I have had I will not be using PPH again as I have no way of knowing if the seller is going to deliver or not.

    I've just had a seller tell me they could not finish the project and would refund me despite having agreed to deliver the work today! 

    This is totally unacceptable and I completely agree with John that the automatic negative rating of 1 star does not enough to protect buyers - why not show number of won versus completed projects? That would give at least an indication of seller reliability.

    I'm not in a rush to use PPH again either :-(

    I've experienced something similar on the other side: I had the buyer making problems and making nothing to solve them.

    This forced me to refund him.

    As I previously wrote to the support about problems with this buyer they assured me any given negative feedback should be removed because it wasn't my fault.

    As I am not certified at all, as I never won any of those underpaying offers I can find for my talent, luckily this negative feedback had no effect on my profile.

    But just because of this.

    And I have no fault.

    So why can't I rate a bad buyer?

    I read the feedbacks on buyer profile and am astonished and can't believe they were so happy working with such a person.

    It seems impossible we dealt with the same man.

    I agree such possibility could turn in being a menace, an avenging instrument, a double edged knife, but both buyers and sellers need to have an effective instrument or to have a system protecting them both from cheaters.

    I have a slightly better problem – my seller refunded me even though I was happy with his work!  I just hadn't had time to respond and tell him that, and he thought my few days of silence meant that I was unhappy.  Now he refunded me, thereby gave himself an automatic 1-star rating for no reason, and I'd like to change that.  What can I do?

    There needs to be a way to report rogue sellers. Mine just now met all the qualities to ask for a refund - deadline not met, poor communication, feedback not heeded, poor quality of work. Nightmare.

    Hi Andrew, I have been through the exact same thing.
    Felt i was fully miss sold and if anything the seller was operating a scam. The seller claims to be based in the UK, but it became very evident that that was not the case. Also the guarantees that were promised was nothing short of a lie. There must be something more that can be done, especially since the seller had a very high cert level.
    Very very disappointing.

    I have just been offered a refund from a seller after waiting for 3 weeks. This has really put me in a tight position with the whole project. 

    There should be a way to warn other buyers about such sellers. This is my first experience on PHP and I'm not likely to be using this site again.

    PPH website is different now, It is very Confusing, Boring and complicated.

    We can't find many options anymore, like Feedback option, Refund claim option, Checking our balance and so on.

    Previously the website was OK, but this is not.

    I believe the PPH owners need to look into other websites as an example and hire a good programmer to design easy to use, attractive, beautiful website with easy to find all the options, on one wage or so.

     

    Due this complication, I am not using PPH anymore to find freelancers but I use Google and other platform.

    PPH is losing business due to this silly mistake of web designed.
