Block users
block certain members from requesting proposals, viewing my profile etc

It actually replaces a forum where users (like me) gave PPH a very hard time. There even used to be a community "manager" (a whole string of them).
They moved to this format to try and control the postings and convert the users to answering questions rather than giving PPH a hard time. That didn't work. Conveniently the old forum posts were removed completely.
This format didn't really work as PPH had intended either, so it's like a dark dungeon where PPH does not look.
PPH is a company that is about making money for PPH and the investors that they borrowed money from. -
9 years ago this request, and still not implemented.
PPH wouldn't have these scammers if Freelancers had the ability to block them; they'd get blocked by many of us fast.
Also, if PPH employed an algorithm (we can be trendy and call it AI) to spot clients sending invitations which are irrelevant to > 70% of the freelancers' skills they're inviting… then they could flag those accounts and put a stop on their ability to send invites; stick them in the sin-bin, ban repeat offenders.
Same on the freelancer side. I've only been back on this platform a few days, but I see so many bids for projects from freelancers who clearly lack the expertise to perform the work the client is asking for.
Again, it's not hard to write an algorithm to check this, and to sin-bin / ban these users.
In any case these are all the garbage, chancing, and scamming clients & freelancers that nobody with any genuine intent or ability wants to deal with. So implement a system to flag them and be rid of them. They'll show themselves the door.
Perhaps it's only hard to implement these measures if the generation of fake activity on this platform drives metrics which impress investors.
