Good Suggestion. That is really something that should be fixed quickly.

I disagree. Currently it encourages people to say the best things about other people and not just the bad. I have knowingly given buyers more stars than they gave me because it's not my business to pull someone else's business down. Maybe they were just having a bad day, and by giving them 5 out of 5 perhaps it will inspire them to work harder and be more complimentary the next time. Some call it 'paying it forward' and some call it 'reaping what you sow'.

I wish you every success and many 5 stars in the year ahead :)

This is a good idea. You'll notice some buyers have lots of projects completed on their pages, but very little feedback left. Sometimes that happens because sellers are intimidated by them, and won't leave realistic feedback fearing they'll receive the same (even if they did nothing wrong).

Basically, we need a system that will not only encourage leaving honest feedback, but also makes us feel protected from receiving undeserved bad feedback out of spite.

Airbnb has a pretty good feedback system : you get 2 weeks to leave feedback, and can't see the feedback you received before you leave yours. If after 2 weeks you haven't left any feedback, you will still see the feedback you received, but you can't give any feedback anymore at this point.

A seller would rate a buyer based on the buyer's satisfactions of their work, communication skills and clarity...So I guess both parties being able to rate at the same time is quite fair. This prevents all parties from backstabbing each other, and encourages clarity.

If you do not like the work, ask for a a full or partial refund. 3 stars is quite mutilating on PPH. Just know that he now understand that he needs to improve the way he serves out his services.
