    I have the same problem and PPH customer service suggested I exchange e-mails with the buyer to open the doc properly. I hope they fix this bug cause I know it's not only me...

    I also get this when I send documents to clients- but not for all documents. I use Open Office, which I thought was the issue. What I find is that by doing the following it usually works for me.

    Close the document before opening PPH
    Find the document by using the PPH browse function and send as normal.

    The key is having the document closed before searching for it.

    I sometimes have this issue with docx items from my clients too. saving it to my computer then opening it with Google docs tends to work.

    I have asked this question with PPH support about 5 or 6 times and they have never been able to fix it.

    All else fails - share your email and exchange documents that way.
