Ive just been awarded a job on people per hour, for the first time. Is it the norm for them to want my address and passport number within the contract agreement?

Who wants this information? Is it the buyer? Or is it PPH? If it is us here at PPH, then yes it is normal for PPH to verify your identity before you work with a client for the first time. You can upload your documents here: https://www.peopleperhour.com/settings/payments#expand=id-documents-pane
If it is the buyer, please confirm why they need it and let them know if you are uncomfortable with providing them with this information.
