Workflow options idea
I can fully understand that PPH want to encourage good working practices and ensuring clients get a good service in record time, it does from time to time have an unfair knock on effect to sellers who are being penalised for not completing work within the stipulated timeframe. Recently I had a client buy and hourlie and one month later still hadn't briefed the job in. Im the one who get penalised in my rating as a result. So this is what I propose as a solution...
Perhaps it is worth considering a system which builds on the idea of a "Workflow" where once an hourly has been purchased, the initiative then is on the buyer to click a button which says “Job Briefed in” if they have done so which would then trigger the delivery time count down and put the responsibility back on the seller. Then when a draft design has been submitted to the client the seller clicks and option “Draft Submitted” then the onus is back on the client. The client could then respond and and tick a box “Amends submitted” or “Approved” etc. Having these options would eliminate the concerns of many and address the issue of sellers not delivering on time when in all instances that I have been involved in, its the clients or the buyers who are stalling.
