What To Do When Buyer Gets Nasty After Work Given To Them?
HI Everyone,
I am new to working here, but not new in my profession. That said, I am a writer, and while working with a first time client here, and after ironing out all the details etc with them. I did the re-write they requested, gave it back to them, and then sent the invoice. However, after doing all the above steps in that order, only then to be told by the client, that "NO" I wanted an original article?
Now keep in mind, that before I started any service with them, I sent over my price for a unique article, and a price for a re-written article, which they wanted me to take the content from their own site, but wanted it re-written, hence what they paid for, and what I did.
Now, they got nasty with me, told me to phone them, which I did to try and work things out with them, along with explain what they ordered with my services, only to be insulted, yelled at, and told we are not paying you???
Furthermore, yet another issue I have with these clients, is that one person contacted me on the order to write for them, then told me to work with this other person ( the one who threw out the insults etc). Additionally, when I did contact this 2nd person, they wanted to pay me outside of People Per Hour to begin with for these services, which I clearly said NO, this is where I provide the services at, and this is the only way that I can work with them etc.
I just am uncertain how to deal with this entire ordeal. I did what they asked of me, and tried to say to them "look I can do another version", but it would be at the unique rate fee we originally had discussed, but again I did not even get that far, as once they got done with all their nasty remarks etc,they instead hung up on me.
Therefore, I now am stuck with a rejected invoice, a bad message left in the work-stream by this client, and this is my first client here, which thus can now damage my reputation here to get any other clients with?
Can someone who works here, or even support kindly advise how we can solve this issue??
Moreover, me personally I don't think this person should keep their account for the way they try to get people to leave the site here to work with them, and then insult them and change instructions after the work was sent to them, not to mention, I am certain they will try to still use the content, even though they said they would not?
With that said, help would sure be appreciate about this. Now, I did already send in a support ticket, but wanted to get some additional tips on how to proceed from here .
What would you all do?
