For how long are proposals pending here?

I don't get that part. I sent a proposal on Sunday, two days ago, it's still pending. Should I do something more? Just don't say I should feature my proposal because I have no intention to do so until I make my first money here.

  Is your proposal waiting for acceptance from the buyer or are the funds waiting to clear to escrow? Your confirmation on this would be most helpful.

  I sent proposal on job postings. I got an answer on other place that it is waiting buyers action - decline or acceptance.

  I would like to know the rules around 'open for proposals' - I have sent proposals in and some are still showing as 'open for proposals' 2 weeks later!

  Despite contacting these buyers I have had no response.

  So are there any rules on how long a proposal can stay open for as we are all just sitting around waiting...
