Hi, any updates on this? Just like the OP, I prefer to get a little background on the buyer before submitting a bid or accepting a job offer... Thanks!

I have been having this exact same problem too! How are we supposed to check out buyers when we cannot click on their profiles?

Has there been a resolution to this problem yet? Buyer profiles are still unclickable as of August 29, 2016. Please change this so sellers can thoroughly view their buyers to check their history, credentials and feedback from sellers they've worked with.

I want to check the profile of a buyer who has invited me to submit a bid but find I can't. Now I see here that this has been an issue since at least July 14th. Why hasn't this been resolved yet? Why would you make buyers anonymous? I've been stung for £2500 on this site by an unscrupulous buyer, so I'm not about to work for an unknown ever again.

Is there any feedback on being able to click on a buyers details yet?

I have been requested to quote on a project by a buyer whom I believe is just fishing for costs? Why can I not click on his name to see his profile?

Yes, it is necessary to judge a buyer before making a proposal. The feedback/reviews sellers give are pointless enough now that you have removed their percentage rating (like the seller's rating average that is displayed for the whole world to see).

What is the point in having even reviews or feed for buyers if sellers can't access it before working with them?

Are you, PPH, prepared to take responsibility for the buyer being 'good'? If you can't let us make up on own mind and read feedback from other freelancers before making this decision, in essence, you are.

You should be putting MORE emphasis on buyers to treat freelancers better and stay within the spirit of the platform. Removing their rating was bad enough, this is ridiculous.

Hopefully you sort it out or I foresee it causing a lot of issues for you guys down the road.

    Thanks.

Come on PPH, this should be such a simple fix for you. Once you've submitted a bid the buyer's name becomes a clickable link to their profile; so the buyer profile page exists, all we need is for their name on the job page to be clickable to that page!   It's over a YEAR now...
