How long is too long to wait after being ghosted?
A client accepted me request to help him on August 13 (and we're communicating here on the site), and while I've always been timely in my communication, there have been very frequent moments where he's disappeared for days without responding to my messages at all, mostly without explanation. The last time he responded to me was this past Monday where I seem to have completed the project (several sketches), but again, I have not heard back from him, and I feel that he's ghosted me. How long is too long to wait after being ghosted like this? I would feel guilty in breaking the deal and reporting him since he has a lot of positive reviews, but I've been absolutely no stranger to this kind of thing on the internet.

Yes, raise the invoice. PPH have a lot to answer for here. They don't send notifications for messages - unless you're actually logged in, you might not even know someone's contacted you. It's happened to me a lot, but raising an invoice does give you a bit of an advantage - clients do receive messages of invoices being sent, and like Adam says at least escrow funds will be released

A follow-up on the same request...I did request my deposit and he paid, and I submitted my final work and gave my review (needless to say, it wasn't positive due to said ghosting, but I was very far from mean about it), but even after submitting everything on September 17, he still has yet to respond or give final approval of my work. So what now?
