How to block freelancers?

 I declined a proposal. Now that freelancer is harassing and maligning me, leaving unpleasant comments in the guise of clarification questions, etc.

Can I put a stop to this? Or is this normal behaviour for a freelancer who hasn't been selected, and I have to put up with it?

  Another freelancer, on another job, isn't taking 'no' for an answer and keeps pestering me.

  Does PPH not have a function for blocking such pests?

  Same here - they were incredibly unprofessional.  We should just be able to block them and report

  So it looks like there is no feature to block someone. Pretty poor.

  I have the same issue. The freelancer will not take no for an answer and is trying abusive hard sales tactics like shaming me for not offering thousands of pounds

  Don't respond.  They soon shut up and move on.

  I've had it too. Declined a proposal and then got the spiel about them being the breadwinner for a family and it's okay for me because I have work and I need to do my best to help them, blah, blah.  Then got the sarcasm and martyrdom, "Oh, don't mind me, starving...."   Just ignore. They move on. 

  These people are charlatans, not professional freelancers. They have the idea that they're going to make pots of money and when they don't, they try the abusive tactics.  Unfortunately, there's no block feature, but you can send feedback on your project, I think, and explain to PPH - not that it does any good.  Like I said, ignore....
