Better content protection to stop IP theft!
Its come to my attention recently that their are people with absolutely no integrity taking images from portfolios and passing them off as their own. This individual was using my partners portfolio to promote his 'Featured' Trending Hourlie! My partner is a logo illustrator here and has herself an Hourlie promoting her service but is being undercut by over £100 by a so called Pakistani Design Company!
Unlike 99 Designs we can add anything to our portfolios, which is great, but also unlike 99 Designs so can anybody else. We need a similar system that protects our work and only allows us to post designs that are signed off by a client thus stopping people being able to pass work off as their own as they wouldn't have been able to create it in the first place!
I'd love to here anyone else thoughts!
Thanks,
Phil

I am with you on that 100% Phil. I have had my hourlie copied by freelancers in both the UK and Pakistan/India/Bangladesh. I am really fed up of it as they make it look as if it's me who stole their work.
It's not beyond the wit of man for the coders to stop the copying of both pictures and text. While I can watermark my images, I cannot do that for the text that has a considerable period of time spent on them being formed.
