Allow Sellers of Cat 3+ to view Buyer Profile at Bid stage
Suggestion:- Re-enable View Buyer Profile for those above Cat 3. (or higher)
Currently we are blocked from viewing profile of job posters which we used to be able to see.The case, as was explained to me, is based on sellers hassling buyers discourteously.
I would suggest that people who have reached a certain category or length of affiliation with PPH and thus proven their integrity should not be 'penalised' for the crimes of the guilty and perhaps allow those of us who do not abuse the system to be allowed to view profiles and thus potentially create a more tailored and effective pitch for our proposals.
Perhaps PPH could think about reinstating this feature for, say, CAT3 or above. It took me a lot of time and effort to reach CAT5+ and I think, having build up a good reputation - and, effectively 'investing' in PPH by continuing to use this as my prime Freelance market and contributing through the commission I bring in we long term freelancers are part of the family, part of the team. I hate when people abuse the system and often report infringements, and we Sellers too are messed about by unscrupulous individuals.
We could also see how much business these people genuinely create (or are they first time buyers?) and what their feedback is like. We Sellers need protection too. With a first time buyer I often try to provide an extra-friendly service to reassure them about PPH and will take extra time to ensure they understand the processes we will be going through. It is my chance to welcome new business - because let's face it every client has the potential to become a repeat business.
I would pitch differently to a technical person as I would to a sales company or artistic client. I also like to know what country they are in, for the sake of following the same national regulations, etc.
So much can be gleaned from a profile to assist with compiling a bid that to have this taken away now seems unfairly restrictive for those of us who conduct our business in accordance with PPH Guidelines.
