The Leaderboard
I don't really care about the leaderboard, it doesn't give me any advantages, I don't get a prize if I am first, or second, or 100. So if you want to measure us by oh, yet another creative way, fine by me. But it turns out that now I am received every single day on the website with a huge sad face and a comment saying that I don't have to panic, but that my sales are terrible and I am going down. I have to see this every time I open the page, which is around 1000 times a day. Eventually it turns out that I did some mysterious thing right and I get a happy face for a few hours, until someone else gets to invoice something and I am plummeting again and back to the sad depressing face.
Do we really need further stress in our lives? Is the life of a freelancer so easy that PPH needs to remind us constantly that what we are doing is not enough? That we might go broke this month? That maybe if we continue down this path, we won't be able to pay rent or buy food? Are you aware that most of the times, people doesn't invoice more because there is not enough work for everyone? Because for each viable project you have 40 bids? So, if my math is correct, 1 person gets to work and 39 doesn't.
And... is everyone working here 12 years old? Why is my work defined with an emoticon? I cannot find a way to explain how distressing and completely unnecessary this is for me. Please, PLEASE, find a different way to express this and to "encourage" people. If you really want to give incentives to get people trying to go up the leaderboard, you can always turn to the old methods: prices, money, advantages, loyalty system, etc. Sad faces only upset people.

Exactly my opinion. I'm always ranking terribly, but I cannot change that (if that would be something that was essential in my life) because for me language pair there are hardly any jobs, and then yoiu have to deal with those low-budget bidders, even though it isn't as bad as at Upwork.
This and a lot of other negative issues that come up again and again /e.g. PPH taking fees for every fart I make, so to say, or holding back money with lame excuses etc.) makes me more than frustrated.
Fortunately, I don't have to rely on PPH anymore which is good for me, and I really hope it stays that way. Don't know why I'm still here anyway.
