Please allow option to private message. I have had potential clients who want to send me specs and details but not post them publicly and I am not willing to open a work stream with them until I know clearly the specs. I really see no benefit to the client or freelancer for making these messages all public, is this just a change to benefit the site?

 

Also, why don't you notify freelancers when their message has been moderated and posted? And if it has been declined then give a reason why? My messages seem to get lost in the ether and if I'm not constantly updating the job page I have no idea if it was blocked, ignored by the client, technical fault etc and it would be nice to know how long these messages are taken to get moderated. It seems like there is a lag when you are trying to make a good impact on a new client.
