Urgent Fraud Report – Misuse of Company Payment Card by Freelancer Volodymyr Dubrok
Dear PeoplePerHour Support Team,
I am writing to file a formal complaint and request an urgent investigation into the alleged conduct of a freelancer on your platform, Volodymyr Dubrok, with whom we recently engaged for an automation project.
During the course of the project, Mr. Dubrok requested that we provide a dedicated company payment card to facilitate automated processing within the workflow he was building. We created a unique card solely for this purpose and provided it to him on the understanding that it would be used exclusively for the agreed technical tasks.
When the projected was failing and after providing the card details, we detected multiple unauthorised transactions and attempted transactions across various AI-related and unrelated online platforms, totalling well over €10,000. These were not connected in any way to the project, and our bank had to reverse the fraudulent charges and block the card as well as all our company cards and payment mechanisms. No one else had access to this card, and it had never been used for any other purpose.
Based on the timing, exclusivity of access, and the nature of the transactions, we have strong grounds to believe that the card details were misused by Mr. Dubrok or by a third party to whom he improperly disclosed them.
This incident represents:
Serious breach of trust
Unauthorised access and misuse of company funds
Potential criminal fraud
We request that PPH:
Conduct a full investigation into the behaviour of this freelancer.
Suspend the account immediately pending the outcome, to prevent further harm to other users.
Confirm the next steps and whether you require supporting documents from our bank regarding the fraudulent transactions.
We remain available to cooperate fully with your investigations and can supply all evidence, including transaction records, correspondence, and project details.
Thank you for handling this matter with the seriousness it deserves. Please confirm receipt of this report at your earliest convenience.
