Make it possible to amend a proposal after it's been accepted

I recently encountered an issue where I need to change the proposal amount after it had been accepted by the buyer. This is a common thing to happen in freelancing, as jobs often change mid-way through. I contacted customer support and was told that the only option was to refund the buyer and reissue the proposal, which is very poor.

Being able to change a proposal amount after it's been accepted is a basic feature that I'd expect of any freelancing site. Other freelancing sites offer this feature. As freelancers, we need flexibility, and being able to change the amount of the job part-way through is basic flexibility. Can you please add an "amend proposal" button?
