Promo Codes and Buyer Fees

For my first project on PPH I've just posted a job, for £3240... I have a promo code so I entered it on checkout when paying the deposit of £1000 - and it says '20% off your purchase'... but then the balance to pay is only showing a discount of £80! So £920 to pay! Also, I really hope that this code is still applied when I come to make my final payment on the project, in a month's time - as it only has 1 day left until it expires.

Also, when I go to pay - I get hit with a huge buyer's fee!!! this seems very unfair - so instead of paying the exptected £800 deposit, I'm paying £1012.

Can someone explain any of this to me?
