Suggestions for Job Posting Improvements
I'd like to suggest the following for improvements on the site, which will benefit both PPH as a company earning from this, and freelancers.
1. Projected Timelines for Job Posts
- Please require Buyers to provide timelines for their job posts. At least give an approximated start date and 'approximated date of completion' or 'to be submitted by this date' box when they post their jobs
2. Budget range over time
- Please provide a box for buyers of what they are willing to pay, not just the $, $, and $$$ signs as what is expensive for one buyer per project can actually be much lower than what is the standard minimum for the amount of work put forth into said project
3. Links to relevant projects
- Please discourage vague posts with little to no detail, i.e. "i want a children's book illustrated"[fin end of job post]
4. Detailed job description
- Please require a minimum amount of words per job description with a handy guide to help buyers provide even a minimum amount of information to be able to attract appropriate sellers
I understand that PPH makes money from freelancers buying extra proposal credits, so using up our credits on dud jobs or general jobs makes sense for the company, but could we at least raise the standard for job posts a little bit more?
