Clients who hire but never send work through
I have a buyer who hired my services and put some money in escrow. We had an initial conversation and then no work was ever sent.
The buyer has not replied to my last hail.
Should I just cancel the project?
Should I refund the escrow or claim it? The escrow amount is small, just enough to cover 1 hours work or so.
BTW for the work I do (business processes) I need client co-operation or its a non-starter.

PPH took this offline and raised a ticket because I was referring to a specific instance .
The deposit in question was €30 or so and I didn't think it was worth the bother of an investigation. Hence no resolution and very soon after, within days, the amount was refunded automatically due to time lapse. (If the amount had been €300 I am sure I would have been more proactive.)
If PPH look at each case individually I guess that's an answer. There are of course instances where freelancers do not do the work.
