Lost my conversation thread with a contractor

been chatting with a contractor about a job. now that I'm ready to start things I cannot find ANYTHING.  There is nothing in my account. NO MESSAGES AT ALL.

Last week there was an archive of all my messages to this person  going back 2 years ago.  I NEED TO REACH THIS MAN SO WE CAN GET THINGS STARTED!!!!  Help!!!!
