Problem with Buyer

I have an issue with a Buyer (job no #2020325). This job has been problematic from the start.
Although I never received a proper brief from him, I spent a lot of hours trying to get the information in order to start working on his job.
At some point he wanted my email address so that he could send me all the material needed for his brochure. I did receive all the material needed, however it was sent by one of his employees who started being extremely ironic on her emails whenever I was asking for clarification regarding the job. As mentioned before, I was never provided with a brief. All I got from the beginning was: "32 page brochure with 6 images per page." Nothing else!
At some point I couldn't put up with her irony and I sent a message to the buyer on PPH saying that I don't want to communicate with him via emails, only via PPH, as this is PPH's policy, and that I can't put up with his employee's ironic emails and behaviour so I gave him the option to either work through PPH or stop this job.
He got back to me saying that he wants me to stop working on the job, which is fine. Can you please let me know if there's something I should do? How can we cancel this job? Can I do it of course without affecting my rates? It would be very unfair if my rates got affected when I am the one who's been insulted in this case.
