Hi I have got the same issue I am a successful Data Scientist, Machine learning and AI expert for 13 years and I got emails saying my application is almost accepted I only need to enter my location and I could not find the right area to enter the location pressed submit twice ( s I got a second email also ) and I got rejected for absolutely no reason.
I want to understand how this works I am a resident in Dubai ( UAE ) and would like to try People per hour as a buyer as well as a seller, got accepted with no problems in Upwork and wanted to extend my expertise here.
The emails I have got do not make sense at all since I fixed the area and all.
P.S. I also submitted a Message to the support and I have got no answer ( I have all screenshots of the email and all ) I will need to decide ASAP as I also have a team and a company here in the UAE.

Make sure you provide us with a genuine profile picture. Pictures such as illustrated pictures of you, your logo design, cartooned pictures or fake ones will be rejected.
