PPH Buyer Fees
As PPH seem to be silent on this issue Im adding my voice I use PPH exclusively as a buyer. I note that there is a lot of opposition to PPH's 5% fee, however my experience is that its more than double this as a buyer. To wit:
On a current job I was charged an additional fee of USD8.10 to make the first payment of USD75 to escrow So while PPH says I've paid USD75, my bank account has been debited $83.10. This is before my bank adds its greedy little cut.
Mt seller invoice says i owe USD75 on the job. The total fixed fee agreed with the seller is USD150. My balance owing invoice says USD75, but when i go to pay (either via bank transfer or Paypal) im being charged an additionalUSD8.10. So my experience is that PPH is charging a whopping 10.8% transaction fee which is not dlsclosed anywhere on the invoice, and conteravenes PPH's claim that it "does not charge buyers fees".
It is deceptive if not illegal not to disclose your fees for service.
