    Hi Stephen,

At first glance it might seem that through this pledge we are only supporting (potential) buyers. However, it has been our clear intent to support both sides at the same time. We are actively helping buyers to post and award projects and/or buy offers by contributing financially towards this direction. So, essentially, PeoplePerHour is partially paying the freelancer on behalf of the buyer.

We have decided to proceed immediately with this action as a first step, in order to maintain a healthy demand-supply balance during the coronavirus pandemic. It wouldn't make sense for freelancers to be able to send more proposals, if there were no valuable projects to bid for, right?

We are also taking more actions into consideration, in order to further attack any issues that our community will possibly face, and we are planning to roll them out down the line, depending on the latest updates.
In the meantime, feel free to refer a client to work with on PeoplePerHour via our referral program, and enjoy our zero commission fee scheme.

Let me know if there is anything else I could help you with.

    We stay together.

    All the best,
    Yannis Sliman

Hi Yannis, I put my application and was automatically rejected. I feel it is not fair. I really hope there is a rival website and I hope this happens soon !!!

    Good luck.

    Hi Yannis

    Thanks.

"It wouldn't make sense for freelancers to be able to send more proposals, if there were no valuable projects to bid for, right?"

I've been here long enough to know the score. The vast majority of jobs are of extremely poor standard, and expire without any action. I've monitored it at 85%+ and at times sometimes over 90%+. As such the 15 proposal limit goes nowhere, yet you are expecting freelancers to feed you additional credits, at this time. Really?

How about each job that has some type of PPH support is actively vetted for quality. It might at that point serve a purpose.

"In the meantime, feel free to refer a client to work with on PeoplePerHour via our referral program, and enjoy our zero commission fee scheme."

If I do a job with a client through my online/offline business it's done through other channels. I see no reason to do it through PPH, especially as I feel minimally supported at best.

And Dean, please start your own thread if you have an issue. Don't hijack threads that have nothing to do with you, especially in context. Thanks.

    Regards

    Stephen

    Thanks

    Hi Stephen,

Increasing the quality of the published projects is one of our several goals set for 2020. Since late 2019 we have been looking into various ways on how we could achieve this goal most effectively. Hopefully within 2020 we will start rolling out a feature that will eventually help us achieve this goal. Maintaining a healthy demand-supply balance is another ongoing project. Both projects are running in parallel and are aiming to address the issues you have mentioned. Hopefully you will stick with us to see them being resolved.

As I also mentioned in my previous comment, we have already compiled a mitigation plan which entails a series of actions which will ensure business continuity for our community, both businesses and freelancers. These actions will be taken according to the latest updates, as we are keep evaluating the situation globally on a daily basis.

Let's touch base again in 15 days and see how things have gone till then.

Keep it up Stephen - thank you for being an active member of our community

    All the best,
    Yannis
