invitation outside Peopleperhour

I hope some folks would be able to help me here. I'm a newbie in freelancing and I got an invitation from a client a few hours ago but on one hand, he is asking me to transact outside the Peopleperhour. Would it be a proper action if I go outside the platform and deal with the client?
