How can I change a fixed price to an hourly rate after project is accepted

Im a buyer and when discussing the project with a freelancer the project got ticked as fixed instead of hourly and was accepted in error. A deposit has been paid. How do I change this fixed price to hourly rate? I cannot see anywhere to make edits. Do I need to request a refund and begin again? Thank you
