Cannot Setup Profile, Invalid Recognize Phone Number

This is excruciating. I have been trying to set up my account as a freelancer, it will not recognize my phone number for some reason. Been trying to input my phone number in about 27 different formats, none of which seem to be legible. I even went so far as to copy and paste the given example into the text box with no luck either. Is it a problem with the website? Seems like a lot of people have had this issue in the past. 

I don't know where I should go to receive help with this, so I am posting to the forum. 

Any advice would be appreciated. My phone number is accurate and I would love to create an account with your site. Do I need to create a private trouble ticket to do that?
